Genre

Example: Horror
Genre: Type of category a film fits into. Conventions: Things you would expect to see.

Horror
          - Sound- Screams, Footsteps.
          - Location- Haunted House,Graveyard.
          - Characters- Ghost, Victims.
          - Cinematography- Close up,Tracking (Creates suspense).
          - Narrative- Ghost Hunters Find Ghost.
          - Lighting- Low Key, Spooky, Shadows.


Romance
              - Sound- Natural city noise (taxis, Shouting, Police sirens in background).
              - Location- City, Workplace.

Example: Romance

              - Characters- Boy, Girl, Friends.
              - Cinematography- Medium Shot, Close Ups.
              - Narrative- Guy falls in love with girl.
              - Lighting- Natural, 3 Point.


Action
          - Sound- Explosions, Gunfire
          - Location- War zone, Jungle
          - Characters- Good Guys/ Bad Guys/ Hero/ Villan
          - Cinematography- Long Shot, Medium
          - Narrative- Good Guy gets crossed by bad guy
          - Lighting- Natural, 3 point
